They married on April, 14, 1947, and had a wonderful life together for 66 years, they were just one month short of 67 years. They made their home in Ivanhoe, Ca.

We were blessed to have them both in close proximity for 10 and mom for 12 years. She will be greatly missed by all of us for her happy, sweet, loving disposition, and her thoughtful, helpful ways. She got great joy and pleasure providing a home for her family. She kept an immaculate home and she was a great cook! Everyone who knew her, knew this about her. Mom was a sweet caring person who saw the good in everyone. She loved being around her family and friends. She loved family picnics, church potlucks, going out to dinner, and all social gatherings, even if it was just around one of her aunt's tables with her mom, everyone visiting, and drinking coffee or ice tea.

The "good old Mom dad were devoted Christians, it was a very big part of their lives. They attended The Church of Christ in Ivanhoe for many years. Mom taught Sunday school for several years, she enjoyed the children very much. From time to time she would take them for fun activities like skating the movies. She was also active in their weekly Ladies Bible Study.

For many years of their Christian life, mom dad would attend church on Sunday morning, go out for lunch, and then spend the afternoon visiting the elderly, and the sick in hospitals and nursing homes.
