Saturday May 27 at home after a long battle with Disease Martin was bom in Oxnard Cal ifornia to riedrich and Martha Ramseier The family moved to the King City area when Martin was a child Martin farmed with his father and then on his own after his death in 1959 Martin then worked as a ranch manager for Interharvest and for Hansen arms until start ing his own business King City Pal let first wife was the late Margaret Silva of King City He married Evelyn Smith in 1963 and they had four children Lynda David John and Marty After Eve death in 1993 Martin married Janice Smith in June 1994 and together they lived on ranch in the Bryson Hesperia area Janice devoted herself to care during his illness On many weekends Martin could be found barbecuing for community fundraisers He also spent two brothers William and EV Henry As a young man Hank joined the California Conservation Corps and worked in forestry service and soil conservation On March 10 1943 Hank joined the US Army He served in all three theaters of World War II Hank was a member of Murles Marauders and was award ed the Bronze Star for his gallant service After his discharge from the Army in 1945 he worked as a timber cutter and log hauler before moving to Tulare in 1949 He worked at a cotton gin for JD HeLskell before starting employ ment with Van Cleve Construction in 1951 He worked as an equipment operator and construction worker for Van Cleve until his retirement in 1967 Other than his family greatest interest and passion was his vegetable garden He was well known for his extraordinary veg etables he grew and sold but was also known for his generosity for the produce he gave away to pco Elc in need He was a wonderful usband father brother and grand father Hank is survived by his wife Margie Henry of Chrisman Nelson of Visalia Calif and the late Leon Chrisman of Tulare Calif on ebruary 12 1951 in Dinuba Calif Throughout her life Linda exhibited a passion for her family animals the outdoors and the fine arts Her interest in music began at a young age where she played the violin in the high school orchestra As an adult Linda con tinued her enjoyment of music by playing the piano After graduating from Tulare Union High School she continued her education at the College of the Sequoias where she received her AA Degree in Sci ence and met her husband Randy She then went to become a medi cal assistant Randy and Linda then settled in Simi Valley Calif where they raised their two children Dianna and Kevin?
