at Goshen Elementary School Gabriel Perez 32 noticed some students have enough money for school supplies So he took the matter into his own hands After shelling out thou sands of dollars of his own money on art supplies cal culators pens and pencils Perez started a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing students with supplies until now the major ity of the money has been my Perez said Perez is now a teacher at Stone Corral Elementary His nonprofit group mostly benefits Goshen students but he hopes to expand it to help other students The organization is named Growth Respect and
