childhood was spent in Oklahoma on her ly's small farm. Maxine's family moved to Los Angeles in 1950 and she graduated from Eagle Rock High School in 1954. Shortly thereafter, Maxine met and married the love of her life, Fred "Johnny" Johnston. After experiencing many adventures over the years, Maxine and Fred settled in the small town of Pixley, CA, in 1986, so that Maxine could care for her aging parents. Maxine and Fred lived on 5 acres which were, at times, home to horses, goats, pigs, cats, and an occasional possum: Maxine never lost the work ethic instilled in her as a young Oklahoman.

In addition to taking care of the menagerie of animals, keeping Mary Vivian Jones Mary Vivian Jones AKA Moma was born on July 11, 1923 in Iota, Louisiana to Perry and Agnes Pete, deceased. An only child, Vivian grew up in Welch, Louisiana and later moved to Lake Charles. She married Fred Blackwell in 1940 and had two daughters Norma Jean Burns of Tulare, California and Myrna Rose Moore of Sacramento, California. After a divorce, Vivian moved to California in 1955. She met Orthly Jones of Pocoima.

They married and had a son Reginald and later moved to Tulare, California where they bought a ranch with horses. Orthly passed in 1984. Vivian' "Moma passed away on August 31, 2014. She will be deeply missed by all knew her. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2014, 2:00 p.m.

with burial at North Tulare Cemetery, 4462 North Street, Tulare. Arrangements are entrusted Miller's Tulare Funeral Home. Blaine W. Spitler Blaine W. Spitler was born to Lu and Wilmont Spitler on July 17, 1922, followed by his brother Dale eight years later.

Growing up in Hanford at his father's furniture store next to Superior Dairy and camping during the summer by the stream at Big Meadows with his grandparents to escape the Valley heat, he quickly grew to respect and love God's creation. Competing in diving and badminton during high school and building radio control and free flight model air planes in the loft above his father's garage, he developed an interest in flying. Attending COS he and married Aurette Bryant, and they began their family with Allen, Judy, Leslie and Laurie. Interrupted by WWII, Blaine taught instrument flying to pilots in the Army Air Corps at Castle Air Base. Returning to his family in Strathmore, he worked as a and then in 1959 started his own company, Packers Manufacturing, to build machinery for fresh fruit and citrus.

He was respected by his clients, committed and loyal to his employees and helped many with life's struggles. Seven years after Aurette's passing in 1964, God led him to Lu Smith and her family, Ed, Becky, Gary and Janet, whom he soon married and grew to love dearly, sharing 43 years together. Retiring from Packers in 1989, Blaine and Lu enjoyed traveling, camping under the redwoods at Princess Campground and the ocean at Avila Beach, taking many family and friends along. Serving the church in many ways: church bus, TV program, audio and video tapes, visitation, Blaine and Lu were faithful servants of the West Visalia Church of Christ. He cherished close friendships and enjoyed sharing meals, playing cards or dominoes, listening to and recording records, sitting by the fireplace on a winter day and savoring Many grandchildren and great- grandchildren brightened his days.

Together Blaine and Lu helped many family and friends in their home as they shared God's blessings. With a deep faith and trust in God, Blaine touched on his lifelong journey, his legacy is far reaching and continues through those he loved so dearly. He passed from this life August 24, 2014. A memorial service and meal will be held at the West Visalia Church of Christ, 4525 W. Caldwell Saturday, September 6th at 11:00 AM.

OBITUARIES house, tending a large garden, canning, and making sure Fred stayed out of trouble, she volunteered her time to various local organizations, including the Pixley Woman's Club, the Tulare County Sheriff's Volunteers In Patrol, and the Pixley Food Pantry. Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Johnston; son, Alan Johnston; brother, Wesley Oxford; and grandsons, David Janson and David Collin Johnston.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Debbie Johnston; daughter-in-law, DeWayne and Llanda Johnston; son, Joseph Johnston; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Ted Janson; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Lenore Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. OBITUARIES Ronald Floyd McIntosh Ronald Floyd McIntosh, age 74, passed away on September 1, 2014, in San Luis Obispo, CA, surrounded by family. Ron was born August 13, 1940 in Blanchard, OK, to Floyd and Charlene McIntosh, the oldest of three sons. His family moved to Visalia in 1942.

He graduated from Redwood High School in 1958. He then joined the U.S. Navy where he spent the next 4 years. He then attended College of the Sequoias and graduated while he was working as an appraiser for Tulare County Assessor's Office. It was while working for the Assessor's office that he met his wife, Carolyn.

They were married in February of 1970. Ron began his career in real estate when he formed a successful partnership with Don and Bob Buhl. He then became a general contractor and built custom homes in Visalia and Morro Bay. Ron and Carolyn moved to Morro Bay 24 years ago, Everett R. Mathews Everett R.

Mathews, of Visalia passed away peacefully at Kaweah Delta Medical 1 Center on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the age of 86. Born Everett Ray Mathews to Tuck and Gladys Mathews on April 8, 1928 in Tulare, CA. Everett was the second children. Everett attended Elementary School in Lemon Cove, CA and High School at Exeter Union High School. In November of 1945 he entered the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his Country until November of 1948.

After returning from his Military Service, Everett met the love of his life, Lorene Simpson. They were married on February 2, 1951 in Ivanhoe, CA. and were married 63 years. Everett worked as a truck driver all his career, first for Hannah Trucking in Ivanhoe, CA in the 1950's and early 1960's. He then moved on to Kings County Truck Lines in Tulare, CA where he worked until his retirement in the mid 1980's.

For his excellent safe driving record and loyalty to his employer over the years, he was awarded to drive the company's beautiful show truck. His hard work maintaining the truck paid off, as he won many first place medals and trophies at truck shows all over California. He and Lorene enjoyed the competition and the many friends they made at these events. After his retirement, Everett and Lorene liked to travel in their RV to the California and Oregon coastlines. In addition to his wife Lorene, Everett is survived by his son, Travis Simpson of Visalia, CA, younger Brother, Darrell Mathews and his wife Carol of Visalia, CA, grandson, Ryan Phillips and his wife Lisa of Fresno, CA and grandson, Douglas Phillips and his wife Ann of Visalia, CA.

Everett was preceded by the death of his son Stephen Mathews in August, 1977 and his older brother, Howard Mathews in April, 2008. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made to: Kaweah Delta Hospice, 900 W. Oak Street, Visalia, CA 93291 in Everett's name. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W.

Jerald "Jerry" Kramlich Jerry Kramlich, 66 of Exeter, CA went to be with his heavenly father on September 3, 2014, surrounded by his loving wife family. Jerry was born on March 16, 1948 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Emil Mary Kramlich. He was the youngest of six, having five older sisters.

Jerry was raised educated in Steele, North Dakota. Jerry met his sweetheart, Melva Lauer in 1964, and the couple wed on August 19, 1967. Jerry was drafted into the Army in February, 1968, and was deployed to Vietnam where he served from August of 1968 to September of 1969. Upon returning, the couple moved to Rugby, North Dakota where Jerry began his career with his father at and Lumber. Jerry and his dad later purchased the lumber yard in 1985, turning it into and Lumber.

In March of 1975 Jerry Melva adopted a baby boy naming him Trevor Brett, in September of 1977, they adopted a baby girl, naming her Tara Lynn. Their family was now complete. Jerry Melva their two children moved to Exeter, California in January of 1986, when Jerry became the manager of Copeland Lumber from 1986-2001, and later Keith Brown from 2001-2002. Jerry became manager of High Sierra Lumber in Tulare from 2002-2014. Jerry enjoyed camping with his family friends fourwheeling with his jeep.

Jerry was a loving devoted husband, son, brother, father, papa, and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Melva, his son Trevor, his daughter and son-in-law Tara John Sharp, grandchildren Aubrey Brody Sharp, father Emil Kramlich, Bismarck, North Dakota, and five older sisters three brothers-in-law, Hilda Gene Giese of Fargo, North Dakota, Betty Lang, Bismarck, Mary-Lou Retzer, Bismarck, Shirley Barnick Don Olson, Stanford, Montana, and Gloria Dean Steichen, Bismarck, North Dakota, as well as many extended family members and dear friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kramlich, four brothers-in-law, Curtis Nelson, Melvin Enzminger, Darold Lang, Elmer Retzer a nephew, Terry Enzminger. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11am at the Exeter Memorial Building. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 3pm to 7pm Smith Family Chapel, Exeter.

He received the Paul Harris award. Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn, his son Ronald of Morro Bay, his daughters Laura of Visalia, and Deborah of Boone, IA, his grandchildren Luke, Caroline, Carson, Matthew and Reid, his brothers Gary and Holden both of Visalia, and many nieces and nephews who were a big part of his life. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 962 Piney Way, Morro Bay at 1:00 p.m., Monday September 8, 2014. Visitation will be a Benedict-Rettey, 1401 Quintana Road, Morro Bay, from 11:30 until 12:30 on Monday September 8, 2014.
