traveler was most noticeably absent Steve Griffiths owner of Steve Griffiths Travel Agency in Tulare said that immediately following the attacks his office received literally hundreds of cancellations Now because of the holidays people have begun returning to the skies despite their fears over travel ing and they are looking for new ways to spend time together beginning to see people who want to take trips that involve the entire he said for those who are doing holiday travel they have put a lot of thought into it Once they decide they do it He said most people are making plans for trips within the United States And though international travel is still slow Griffiths said it is slowly returning to normal levels Janna Green of Visalia said that she quite ready yet to travel outside the country but she allowed the attacks to alter her plans On Sept 18 she kept long standing plans and flew to San rancisco and said she was not especially nervous called the hotel ahead of time and felt that they were doing everything possible to keep me she said With safety and security such a concern some travelers are choos ing to spend time with the family closer to home by planning parties at
