The recent week of camping at Whitake- Forest for Camp Fire girls and others of their age group was an outstanding success. The girls enjoyed the outing immensely and without exception appear to have profited from the standpoint of health and happiness. Parents who visited the camp during their stay were so favorably impressed that they wish the time could have been two weeks instead of one. Much comment concerned the detailed plans that were carried out, completely filling each day with varied and interesting activities. The camp is the type of recreation that is to be desired for our young girls and too much credit cannot be given the organization and individuals who made it possible.

Donations to cover expenses for five girls at camp were contributed by the Tulare Business and Professional Women's club, Rotary club, Lions club, Woman's club and Mrs. Edith Moore, who managed the Woolworth store during her residence in Tulare. Food donations were made by Roy Monroe, Dan Guer-in and Gaven Fell. Assisting with transportation and other activities that were additional to their duties as members of the Camp Fire organization were Mrs. Robert Spawn, Mrs.

Arthur Moore, Mrs. Alfred Koeppe and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knox. Mrs.
