Luther Witten died yesterday afternoon at the Craven Sanitarium after a prolonged illness.

The body was later moved to the Locov undertaking parlors from which place the funeral will he held. Up to late last night the time had not been set, owing to a wish on the part of Mr. Witten to first hear from her folks in the East. Tlie deceased was horn in Clarksville, and was 41 years, 2 month and 3 days of age at timeof death. She was married to Luther Witten on September 18, 1900, after which the collide came wet, and lived for a time at Wheatville, later coming to Visalia, where they have since lived.
