THE INSTITUTE. A Great Many Ladies TULARE. Special Correspondence of the Delta. Tulare, Nov. 21.

A Good Templars lodge has lately been organized in Tulare. It starts out with good prospects. Tulare Grange will celebrate Thanksgiving with a suggestive and appropriate program. The different churches will combine in' a union service as is customary in Tulare. J.

M. Russell of Oakland, who has been visiting Judge Lovejoys family recently, returned to his home last Saturday. V. Hawkins of Solano county is visiting his friends and relatives in this section. Mrs.

Lila C. Moore, a temperance lecturer from Kentucky, has entertained Tulare audiences recently. Her efforts were well spoken of. The Baptist Church ladies will give a New England Thanksgiving dinner in a room on Tulare street. The usual price 50 cents is changed to 25 cents so that all may eat.

H. H. Francisco has recently purchased the residence property of A. T. Fowler and has renovated it and prepared to occupy it as a home.

Mr. Fowler has leased or bought a hotel in San Louis Obispo county and will reside there. Mrs. Thomas Brown, who has suffered from cancer for many months, died Sunday morning, and was buried from the Christian church Monday afternoon. A.

P. Upton died Monday morning after a long illness and much suffering. He was kicked by a horse several years ago and disease of the bones of his limb resulted therefrom. It was operated on several times, the laBt time on Sunday before his death. He leaves a wife to mourn his loss.

His remains will be shipped to Massachusetts for interment. The Program Arranged for the Teachers Session. A Number of Instructive Papers on the Program. Prominent Educators Will be Present Committees Appointed by Superintendent Crooksbanbs. School Superintendent Crookshanks has completed the program for the annual Teachers Institute, to be commenced on Tuesday, December 18th, and continuing four days. Professor C.
